Former Brazil international midfielder Felipe Melo could make a surprise move to Valencia next month, according to reports by the Brazilian media.
The 33-year-old has fallen out of favour at Inter Milan this season and in recent weeks has been linked to Brazilian clubs Palmeiras, Flamengo, Corinthians and Sao Paulo, reports Xinhua news agency.
But Valencia coach Cesare Prandelli is said to be keen to bring Melo to Mestalla in the winter transfer window.
"Prandelli worked with him at Fiorentina in 2008 and 2009 and would like to do the same at Valencia," Brazilian newspaper lance reported on Saturday.
Melo's current deal with Inter Milan expires in next summer, and he is free to sign a pre-contract with another club.
The former Fiorentina and Juventus player is also understood to have drawn interest from several Chinese Super league clubs.
