Chief Minister Harish Rawat inaugurated the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam learning Resource Centre at the Shivalik College of Engineering here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister appreciated the institution for developing a learning resource centre and naming it after the former President of India.
The CM also inaugurated the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), released SCE’s newsletter and launched anti ragging and road safety activities taken by SCE as a part of its social responsibility in association with Uttarakhand Police.
The Rawat also felicitated the meritorious students of the college. Addressing the students on the occasion, the CM advised them to complete their professional courses sincerely and become capable engineers to serve the country and contribute to its progress with pride.
Uttarakhand Technical Education secretary RK Sudhanshu, NIESBUD regional centre head Poonam Sinha, DIG/SSP Pushpak Jyoti and vice chancellor of Uttarakhand Technical University PK Garg were also among those present on the occasion.
