Power generation at the DVC Bokaro Thermal Power station (BTPS)-B has registered a significant improvement during the last one week.
On generation front, DVC has set a record of 3,300-3,400 MW every day. However, the total energy generation during the month of August is around 8.670 MU-DVC sources said.
According to DVC sources, the total valley generation of DVC recorded on Monday evening are 3300 MW, while Bokaro thermal power plant –B unit no -1 170 MW, unit number-2,-200 MW and unit no –III,180 MW, Chanderpura Thermal Power Station (CTPS), unit number i-84, unit number ii-81, unit no iii-109 and unit no –viii-258, while MTPS generated unit no I-191MW, unit no-vi 222MW, unit number vii,-229 MW and unit number –viii registered 227 MW. However, Durgapur Thermal Power station (DTPS) of DVC reordered generation of unit no-I,83 MW, Koderma Thermal power Station (KTPS ) recorded today evening of unit number –ii is 425 MW out of 500MW while DSTPS is now producing of its unit no I is 420 MW.
All two hydel of DVC including Maithon and Panchayat are generation 37 MW and 46 MW of its unit no 1&2 units. The daily station PlF for last one week is 58%, which is much higher then previous best.
The improvement is largely depends on the guidance of DVC chairman Andrew WK langstieh, Chief engineer and project head P Kumar and chief engineer of BTPS-B, Mirnal Biswas, DY CE (M), NK Chaudhary, Dy CE (E) Sandip Pal, Electrical superintendent-I &II, DP Puitandi and BK Mandal.
DVC is India’s first multipurpose river project that formally came into being on July 7,1948 just after independent by an Act of the constituent Assembly. It came up as independent India’s first project to develop infrastructure for the socioeconomic progress of the region.
