The 35th foundation day of Ranchi Municipal was celebrated on its premises on Saturday. The main purpose behind doing so was to recognise the contribution of the former as well as the present ward counselors of RMC.
Mayor Asha lakra and Deputy Mayor Sanjeev Vijaywargia felicitated the ward counselors by giving them the letter of honor, bouquet and a shawl. The celebration started with the melodious voice of the prominent singer of city Mitali Ghosh. She sang some famous Nagpuri songs which made the counsellors as well as Mayor Asha lakra to dance to its tunes.
Sharing his experience as the CEO of RMC, Manoj Kumar said that “RMC has been able to do a great job with limited resources. We still work with only 20 per cent of the total number of employees’ required for the job.”
“More recruitments and modernisation of the functioning process at RMC will really provide the required escalation to our work.” he added. Apart from the Mayor and Deputy Mayor, senior officials of RMC, ward counselors and members of the RMC workers union took part in the celebration. PNS
