The third and concluding day of 8th DSMUN saw an early start despite the fact that the DSMUN Delegate Dance went on for long the previous night, only to be cherished for long in the hearts and spirits of the delegates.
looking at the amount of vigour in the delegates of their respective committees, it seemed as though the best of their energy was saved for the last day. As today was also the judgement day for the winning aspirants, the delegates presented their best. The day proceeded in all committees with hot debates among various delegations, resolutions being passed, the delegates being so excited that they continued their caucuses after tea had started. Human Rights Council passed a resolution against Child labour and others like Security Council also did the same over military influence in Crimea.
The discussions ended by lunchtime for the last time, with many delegates who were left mum on what they wanted to say and those who could not be halted from making their point clear. This DSMUN indeed ended with show of true diplomacy and debating. It is only the excitement left for the prize distribution. The Best [large] Delegation award went to Welham Boys School Dehradun, the Best [small] Delegation award went to Aitchison College lahore, Pakistan. The awards were given away by the chief guest for the evening Dr. Peter Mclaughlin, headmaster of
The Doon School. The DSMUN is a student driven venture and was organised by Sayuj Dhandhania who is the president and Ishaan Sandhu was the secretary general. Both are class 12th boys of Doon school. Mohit Sinha was the master incharge while Purnima Dutt HOD of humanities department and Piyush Malaviya helped out with organization of the event.
