Regional Science Centre, Bhopal is observing World Science Day by organising a Science Fiesta to create a public awareness about role of science in maintaining peace and development.
As a part of this Science Fiesta, various science organisations of and around Bhopal and some NGOs have displayed their products and publications to give information about their organisations to the visiting public and students under one roof at Regional Science Centre, Bhopal here on Monday that would continue till November 12. As many as 1,500 students from different schools of the city and the general visitors visited the exhibition on Monday.
Notably, Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering (C.I.A.E.), Indian Institute of Soil Science (I.I.S.S.) Bharat Sanchar Nigam limited (BSNl), Madhya Pradesh Vigyan Sabha, Regional Museum of Natural History (RMNH), Archeological Survey of India (ASI), Eklavya Prakashan, Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital and Research Center (JNCHRC), Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Advanced Material and Process Research Institute (AMPRI), Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) participated in the Fiesta. These organisation displayed information about science facts at different levels.
The students got an opportunity to explore as many science facts as they could.
There are live models, books, pamphlets, flex and much more that helped the students and general public to get the information and enjoy it in a creative manner.
The Valediction and Prize Distribution Function of the event will be organised on the concluding day of the Science Fiesta at 4 pm.
Notably, Naveen Chandra, Director, Advanced Material Process and Research Institute (AMPRI), Bhopal will be the Chief Guest of the function.
