Cuttack Collector Girish SN has organised several mobile public grievance camps here and registered hundreds of grievances from individuals and groups.
However, he has failed to win the confidence of the public as the latter consider the bid as a farce since after the camps were organised, hardly were any the grievances redressed.
On January 7 last, a camp was organised by Collector and Athagarh Press club had appealed him to instruct all the local plant authorities to open their regional offices at the sub divisional headquarters town so as to provide information regarding their activities and plans on peripheral development.
Besides, the Collector was told to take action against brokers in Athagarh Sub-Divisional Hospital, ask authorities to expedite Rengali Right Canal works, activate police and Excise sleuths to curb production of country liquor having no licence and sale of duplicate foreign liquors etc.
Although the complaints were registered, but no action was taken to solve a single problem, alleged Club president Sarbeswar Panda.
