Chilika BJD MlA Raghunath Sahu has threatened that he will take defamatory action against the people involved in the “mischievous political propaganda” against him over the recent death of two brothers in an alleged hooch tragedy in his constituency.
Sahu, in a statement here said that in the incident on August 12 at Borigaon under the Banpur police station in Khuda district, the two persons of a family died. But the BJP leaders have tried to “politicise the incident by trying to spread malicious false rumours” that the death occurred due to consumption liquor and he had a hand in this.
The BJP leaders brought the issue to the State Governor’s notice, which is “indeed a mischievous, false and deplorable political gimmick,” Sahu said. He said he has decided to take defamatory action against his detractors.
