A massive fire broke out at Koh-e-Fiza showroom. It damaged over two dozen vehicles, furniture, Suzuki showroom in the early morning hours on Wednesday.
The Maa Suzuki showroom which deals in two wheelers was gutted in fire in the early morning hours Locals informed fire brigade regarding the fire and around half a dozen fire tender were pressed into service which took around a hour to pacify the fire before it damaged goods worth lakhs of rupees.
The fire which broke out in the early morning hours damaged new and used vehicles inside the showroom. The fire was controlled before it could damage the nearby buildings and offices. The area was deserted due to the festival of EID.
Panic prevailed in the area after dense smoke spread in the adjacent buildings and nearby areas. In the incident no one was injured and no casualty was reported. Only damage to the goods in the showroom has been reported.
There were fire extinguishers at the showroom but no one was present at the showroom at the time of the fire to douse fire using them. Locals told the police that the showroom was closed for past one week.
The owner of the godown and employees reached the showroom but information of fire and damaged was not given to police.Fire brigade reached on time and started pacifying the fire which averted massive loss to the showroom. The reason behind the showroom remained unclear and would be investigated.
