Young Poet Launches Debut Collection ‘Truly, Madly, Deeply’ at School Event

Sixteen-year-old Aanya Nigam, a student at Scottish High International School, Gurugram, unveiled her debut poetry collection Truly, Madly, Deeply in a heartfelt launch event hosted at her school. Published by Anecdote Publishing House, the book was celebrated in the presence of eminent educators, renowned authors, family, and friends. The occasion featured Dr (Cdr) Kartikay Saini (Chairman), Principal Dr Sanjay Sachdeva, and Primary School Director Seema Bhati. Guests of Honour included Dr Harshali Singh (founder, House of Harmony Literature Festival), Priyanka S Kaintura (Indira Priyadarshini Award 2023 recipient), poet Meenakshi M Singh, and Bharatnatyam exponent Priya Venkataraman. A panel discussion moderated by Dr Saini explored the writer’s mindset and the vital role of art and literature for today’s youth. The reflective collection delves into love, vulnerability, emotional honesty, and the courage to feel deeply in an often indifferent world. Through intimate poems, Aanya—who has written since age six and is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer—urges authenticity and connection across generations. Her work dreams of a softer, more caring world, proving that profound change can begin “one poem at a time.”
