Yogi reviews preparations for UP International Trade Show-2026 in Greater Noida
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday reviewed preparations for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show-2026 (UPITS-2026) at Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida and directed officials to ensure its smooth and secure conduct.
According to an official statement, Adityanath described the trade show as a global platform for Uttar Pradesh's heritage, skills, local products and industrial capabilities and a means to promote 'Vocal for Local' and 'Make in India'.
The latest edition has established partnerships with six countries -- Japan, Vietnam, Russia, Singapore, Austria and Belarus. Around 600 international buyers from 72 countries and territories are expected to attend through the efforts of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations and Indian missions abroad, it stated.
Adityanath directed officials to arrange accommodation for foreign buyers and exhibitors, appoint liaison officers for participating countries' high commissioners and deploy students from Gautam Buddha University and technical universities as volunteers, the statement said.
The chief minister also directed that international delegations be connected with Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and that additional meetings be organised between the minister, industry leaders and trade representatives.
Knowledge sessions should be "concise and impactful", he said, according to the statement.
The ministers and principal secretaries of relevant state departments should be invited to technical sessions for high-level deliberations and inter-departmental coordination, while public participation should be encouraged, Adityanath said.
He further directed that the event ensure participation from Noida and Greater Noida, as well as the Awadh, Bundelkhand and Braj regions, the government said. It added that 25 cultural performance slots have been planned, featuring Kathak, Pakhawaj and sitar recitals, Bhojpuri and Alha folk singing, Rai and Tharu tribal dances and musical nights.
On civic arrangements, the chief minister directed officials to ensure adequate traffic, parking, public transport, sanitation, security, food and drinking water facilities in view of the expected crowds, according to the statement.
The three authorities concerned should coordinate to ensure cleanliness, security, law and order and smooth traffic movement, he said, adding that the venue should remain "clean, organised and plastic-free", while CCTV cameras and electric vehicle charging stations should be installed at key locations.
All government departments were directed to complete their stalls by September 23. Officials were also asked to install hoardings, posters and signage and coordinate with telecom companies for additional towers and reliable internet and Wi-Fi services.
According to the statement, Adityanath also stressed effective crowd management and asked visitors to maintain decorum and follow safety protocols while creating social media content, including reels.
He directed officials to regularly review the arrangements and said there should be "no negligence, disarray or shortcomings" at any stage, the statement added.
