Uttar Pradesh opens land bank for investors: Yogi

n a slew of developmental measures in the State, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday invited domestic and global investors to invest in the State, saying Uttar Pradesh offers a 75,000-acre land bank, sector-specific policies, timely incentives and a single-window clearance system.
Addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of SAEL Industries’ manufacturing plant in Jewar, CM said Uttar Pradesh is currently generating around 6,000 MW of electricity from renewable sources. He said the State aims to increase its renewable energy generation capacity to 20,000 MW over the next two to three years and highlighted the rapid expansion of solar power and other green initiatives under the Central and State Governments.
In the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the Amber and Ascent-K Circuits electronics manufacturing plant in Gautam Buddh Nagar’s Jewar area, the CM said the historical connection continues to strengthen cultural ties between Uttar Pradesh and South Korea. Union Minister of Railways and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw and Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav were also present on the occasion.
“According to the Korean history, their Queen Heo was Ayodhya’s Princess Ratna, who travelled to Korea by sea. During the visit of the First Lady of Korea to UP, we developed a memorial park in Ayodhya in her memory,” he said.
He referred to the stone memorial honouring the Korean Queen Heo Hwang-ok, which stands within Ram Katha Park in Ayodhya. Situated near the ghats along the Sarayu River, the memorial bears an inscription recounting the legend of Queen Heo and is housed within the park premises.
Yogi also announced that the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) will be held at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida from September 25 to 29, while urging the Noida Authority to digitise all its services and expedite action against allottees who have failed to develop allotted land.
Addressing a programme marking the curtain raiser of the trade show and the inauguration and foundation laying of 70 development projects worth `2,479 crore in Noida and Dadri Assembly constituencies, UP CM said the Noida Authority should now move all its services online and monitor works through an Integrated Command and Control Centre.
