TG SAFE crackdown : Shadab Hotel licence suspended over hygiene violations

The FSSAI licence of Shadab Hotel in Madina, Hyderabad, was suspended after a Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE) inspection found multiple violations involving hygiene, sanitation and the storage of meat and other food items.
The hotel management was also directed to stop all business operations with immediate effect.
As part of a special food safety drive across Hyderabad's core urban region, nine enforcement teams comprising Food Safety Officers and police personnel inspected 19 cafes and snack points. Officials found violations ranging from expired food stock to cockroach infestation.
Two cafes shut
Dreamz Cafeteria in Bagh Lingampally and Asiatic Café in Panjagutta were also shut down after officials found that both establishments were operating without a valid FSSAI licence or registration.
During the inspections, officials discarded perishable food exposed to dust and flies. They also seized certain food products and collected samples for laboratory analysis.
TG SAFE issued notices to several other establishments during the drive. Further action will be decided based on inspection reports and follow-up inspections.
