Security forces neutralise terrorist in Ganderbal operation

In the ongoing anti-terrorist operation in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, a joint team of security forces on Wednesday neutralised one unidentified terrorist without suffering any collateral damage.
Srinagar-based Chinar Corps on Wednesday posted on X, “During the night of 31 Mar 26, the cordon was tactically reorganised amidst the intermittent firing underway. Own troops effectively retaliated with a calibrated response, resulting in one terrorist eliminated”.
A joint operation was launched by the Army and J&K Police on the basis of specific input about the presence of terrorists in the Arhama area of Ganderbal late Tuesday evening.
According to a statement of the Indian Army, as the alert troops reached the suspected spot during the cordon and search operation, the hiding terrorists resorted to indiscriminate firing, ensuing in a fierce encounter between the security forces and the terrorists.
The spokesperson further said, during last night, the cordon was tactically reorganised amidst the intermittent firing underway.
The calibrated response of the security forces resulted in the elimination of one unidentified terrorist. There are no reports of any casualties from the security forces’ side. Till the time of filing the report, the operation was in progress.
