PM praises Shah’s speech on motion to remove speaker

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday praised Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his speech delivered in the Lok Sabha at the end of the debate on the resolution seeking the removal of Om Birla as Speaker. Modi noted that Shah’s address was rich in facts and outlined the importance of Parliamentary traditions as well as the importance of working collectively for national progress. Amit Shah hit out at the Opposition for bringing the no-confidence motion against Birla as Speaker and asserted that the House will be run by its rules and not by the rules of a party.
