PM Modi meets Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides, focus on strengthening bilateral ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides at Hyderabad House in New Delhi as both leaders held important discussions aimed at expanding cooperation between India and Cyprus. The meeting focused on strengthening diplomatic and strategic relations between the two countries across multiple sectors.
During the bilateral talks, discussions were expected to cover areas including trade, investment, technology, education, culture, mobility, defence, and security.
Emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence, fintech, innovation, and research also formed an important part of the agenda as both countries seek deeper collaboration in future-oriented industries.
Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides is on a state visit to India from May 20 to May 23 along with a high-level delegation that includes senior ministers, officials, and business representatives. The visit is considered significant for strengthening political and economic engagement between the two nations and further building on recent diplomatic exchanges.
India and Cyprus have maintained friendly relations over the years, and recent high-level interactions have contributed to improving cooperation in strategic sectors.
The latest meeting reflects the shared intention of both nations to increase partnerships and explore new opportunities in global and regional matters.
