‘BJP goons attacked CJP volunteers’ : Dipke alleges assault during Rajasthan school visit

CJP convenor Abhijeet Dipke on Friday, August 21, alleged that BJP workers attacked members of his team during a visit to a government school in Jaipur district, accusing the Rajasthan Police of remaining a "mute spectator" as the volunteers were allegedly assaulted and their vehicles damaged.
The CJP team had gone to Rampura Kanwarpura village as part of its 'School Thik Karo' campaign to inspect the condition of government schools and interact with students and teachers.
Dipke alleged that the team was stopped from entering the village and attacked with stones. Videos from the area showed heated exchanges between the group and locals, while some clips appeared to show damaged car windows.
"Goons of BJP are after the blood of Ashutosh and other CJP volunteers. How can @PoliceRajasthan allow this kind of attack?" Dipke said in a post on X.
In another post, he accused the Rajasthan Police of failing to act against those attacking the CJP volunteers.
"Rajasthan Police seems to be a mute spectator while goons attack CJP volunteers for visiting govt schools. They don't seem to have a problem with schools running in buffalo stables, but somehow have a problem with CJP volunteers entering those schools. What exactly are they trying to protect?" he said.
The CJP alleged that several members of the team were assaulted, vehicles were damaged and women supporters were also targeted during the confrontation.
The dispute comes days after the Rajasthan education department issued an order restricting unauthorised entry, photography and videography in government schools. The order followed the CJP's announcement that it would inspect schools across the state.
CJP co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka alleged that the school in Rampura Kanwarpura had been operating from a cattle enclosure after its main building was declared unsafe.
"All levels of disgust were crossed today. For the past several years, the school at Rampura Kanwarpura has been running from a buffalo shed.
"But when we reached there for an inspection, we were openly assaulted, pelted with stones. Car windows were smashed, stones were rained down on the team. Clothes were torn. My clothes were also torn," Ranka told reporters.
Ranka also alleged that the police did not intervene despite the stone-pelting.
The allegations triggered a political exchange, with School Education Minister Madan Dilawar accusing the CJP of attempting to create disturbances in Rajasthan. Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasara, meanwhile, alleged that BJP workers were behind the confrontation.
The CJP has given the state government 48 hours to arrest those allegedly involved in the attack and withdraw the order restricting outsiders' entry into government schools.
