People fed up with DMK’s false promises: Palaniswami

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami said on Wednesday that people of Tamil Nadu are fed up with the ruling DMK’s “false and tall promises.”
Launching a scathing attack on the DMK Government during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally here, Palaniswami said people are not going to believe Chief Minister M K Stalin anymore.
“He hasn’t fulfilled his previous poll promises yet.” Addressing a massive NDA poll rally, the Leader of Opposition alleged that the ruling DMK gave over 500 promises during the 2021 assembly elections.
“I ask the chief minister, how many (promises) have actually reached the people? Whether it is the complete waiver of jewel loans or the reduction in fuel prices to the promised extent, this Government has consistently betrayed the trust of the electorate,” Palaniswami said.
The former chief minister further claimed that the current administration was merely “rebranding” AIADMK-era schemes while failing to maintain law and order in the state. He highlighted the rising prices of essential commodities and the “deteriorating” fiscal health of Tamil Nadu as evidence of the DMK’s “mismanagement.”
