Pakistani officer claims strike on 2 Indian airbases that don’t exist

A video of a Pakistani military officer has gone viral after he claimed that missile strikes had successfully hit two Indian airbases that, in reality, do not exist.
In the clip, the officer is heard stating that Pakistan’s operation targeted “Rajouri Airbase” and “Mamun Airbase” during a cross-border offensive. However, official records show there are no operational airbases by those names.
While Rajouri is a district in Jammu and Kashmir, it does not house an air force base. Mamun, meanwhile, refers to a military cantonment in Pathankot, Punjab, not an airbase.
The video has sparked widespread ridicule online, with users mocking the claim and pointing out geographical inaccuracies.
The incident is being discussed in the backdrop of heightened India-Pakistan tensions following reported cross-border drone and missile activity, during which Indian air defence systems intercepted incoming threats, including Fatah-1 guided rockets, over multiple regions.
The viral clip has since become a focal point of online debate over misinformation in conflict narratives.
