NDMC confers Anupam Colony certification on Golf Links

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on Thursday conferred the prestigious “Anupam Colony” certification on Golf Links, recognising the upscale residential neighbourhood for its exemplary waste management and sustainability practices.
NDMC Chairperson Keshav Chandra unveiled the certification plaque at Golf Links Colony, making it the ninth residential area to receive the distinction under the civic body’s Waste Management and Sustainability Initiative.
Addressing residents and officials at the event, Chandra said the recognition reflected the colony’s collective commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable living. “Golf Links has set a remarkable example of community-led waste management that can inspire other neighbourhoods across the city,” Chandra said, adding that such initiatives contribute to cleaner surroundings and help build environmentally conscious and self-sustaining communities.
He also acknowledged the role of voluntary organisations, NGOs and community groups that partnered with residents in achieving the milestone. Golf Links Association president Ajay Mathur welcomed the certification, describing it as recognition of the residents’ efforts to transform the vision of a zero-waste colony into reality.
Highlighting the colony’s environmental initiatives, Golf Links Association Joint Secretary Namrata Khanna said residents had been actively promoting the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle through community-driven programmes.
