MP officials Anurag Jain, Vivek Aggarwal to be speakers at Global Fintech Fest 2026

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Former Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh and NITI Aayog CEO Anurag Jain, Vivek Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Culture & Vice President, FATF, Govt of India, will share their thoughts at the Global Fintech Fest 2026.
This event marks the first time a leader and two bureaucrats from Madhya Pradesh have been invited as speakers.
Anurag Jain, an officer of the 1989 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (MP Cadre) and former Chief Secretary to the Govt of MP, became the Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog - making him the first bureaucrat from the MP cadre to hold this position.
Similarly, Vivek Aggarwal, an officer of the 1994 batch of the IAS (MP Cadre) and currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India, is the first officer from the MP cadre to be elected as the Vice-President of the Financial Action Task Force.
This is the first time anyone from India has held the position of FATF Vice-President.
Both officers from the MP cadre are set to participate in the GFF 2026 under this year’s central theme: “Trusted, Connected, Global Systems for Inclusive Finance,” with a special focus on AI, Tokenization, and Quantum Technology. The world’s largest event in financial and technological innovation, the GFF 2026, will be held from Sept.8 to 11, 2026, at the Jio World Centre and Trident BKC in Mumbai.
It is being organized by the Payments Council of India, Fintech Convergence Council and leading partner organizations. The core theme reflects a commitment to building a robust and fair financial ecosystem globally.
Agentic AI: This next phase of AI will enable autonomous orchestration of financial workflows. It will provide highly personalized and precise services to customers at scale while enabling real-time financial risk monitoring and fraud detection without human intervention.
Tokenization: Through this technology, all types of assets -whether public, private, physical, or digital — can be made programmable and divisible. Instant and secure cross-border transfer of these assets on Global infrastructure will elevate financial inclusion to new heights.
Quantum Computing: Redefining financial security, optimization, and complex calculations at a fundamental level, quantum technology will drastically scale processing power, enabling solutions to intricate financial problems within seconds.
Global Policy Dialogue and the Vision for Inclusive Finance
The central highlight of GFF 2026 is fostering global cooperation, policy alignment, and financial inclusion. The presence of policymakers, regulators, and central bank representatives from across the globe turns this platform into a hub for international regulatory dialogue.
GFF 2026 is set to mark a major milestone for the global fintech ecosystem.
By bringing together startups, investors, policymakers, and tech leaders, the festival lays the foundation for a future where financial systems are more secure, reliable, and accessible to every global citizen. Armed with strong fintech prowess, India is positioned to lead this new global wave.
As Madhya Pradesh CM Dr Mohan Yadav notes, the state works by applying lessons learned directly from the Prime Minister.
With PM Narendra Modi participating in GFF 2026 for the third consecutive time to highlight a decade of UPI, Chief Minister Yadav could also leverage this opportunity to evaluate MP’s standing in the fintech ecosystem.
Special attention could be given to using emerging fintech innovations and models for the upcoming Simhasth Mahakumbh 2028.
The CM could tap into the experience of both officers from MP by creating a specialized task force under the state Finance Minister.
By attending the GFF 2026, studying the global fintech ecosystem, and showcasing the state’s strengths, this task force could attract investors and tech innovators — establishing a strong presence for MP in the fintech sector.
