LPG cylinder blast causes house collapse in Delhi’s Mukundpur

A single-storey house collapsed in Delhi’s Mukundpur area on Tuesday after a suspected LPG cylinder explosion, leaving several people injured and triggering a major rescue operation.
According to officials from the Delhi Fire Service, emergency teams rushed to the site soon after receiving reports of the blast and the subsequent building collapse.
Initial reports said at least four people were injured, while later updates indicated that the number of injured could be as high as six. Rescue personnel, firefighters, and local authorities worked to clear debris amid fears that more residents might be trapped under the rubble.

The incident comes just days after a deadly building collapse in Delhi’s Saket area, raising fresh concerns about building safety and emergency preparedness in the capital.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion and assess whether any structural violations contributed to the collapse.
Officials have assured that all necessary assistance is being provided to the injured, while rescue operations continue to ensure no one remains trapped beneath the debris.
