Kalki Peethadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam receives death threat

Sambhal (UP), Sep 26 (PTI) Kalki Peethadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam on Saturday claimed that he received a death threat through an audio message allegedly sent by Kulveer Singh Sidhu, whom he identified as the chief of pro-Khalistan organisation Babbar Khalsa.

Krishnam said that he had been receiving calls from an international number for the past few days but did not answer them. He said he received an audio message two-three days ago in Punjabi, in which the sender allegedly threatened to bomb him and also spoke of using rocket launchers.

Krishnam, who is associated with the construction of the Kalki Dham in Sambhal, said he had received the threat in connection with the ongoing construction of the religious complex.

He alleged that some "anti-national forces" wanted to turn India into "Taliban and Khalistan" and said the construction of Kalki Dham was not acceptable to Khalistani elements.

Krishnam said he had resolved before the construction of Kalki Dham began that idols of Guru Gobind Singh, Lord Mahavir and Lord Buddha would be installed there.

"I appeal to the prime minister, home minister and the Uttar Pradesh chief minister, and want to share this with the country and Sanatanis today that if I am killed, I will consider it my sacrifice," he said.

He also said that the construction of Kalki Dham should not stop even if he is killed.

Sambhal Superintendent of Police Vikas Chandra Tripathi said police had received a complaint regarding the alleged threat to Krishnam and are investigating the matter.
