Jammu-Sambalpur train delayed due to track work

Northern Railway has announced the rescheduling and regulation of the Jammutavi–Sambalpur Express due to essential infrastructure upgrades.
The adjustments are required to facilitate Non-Interlocking (NI) work connected to the track-doubling project between Madhopur and Kathua, located on the Pathankot Cantt–Jammutavi section.
According to a revised statement issued on Friday, the changes will affect train number 18310 (Jammutavi to Sambalpur Junction) commencing its journey on May 31, 2026. This service will now be rescheduled by 100 minutes from Jammutavi and further regulated by 50 minutes en route, resulting in a total delay of 150 minutes.
Northern Railway clarified that these temporary traffic changes replace the previously planned restrictions for train number 18102 (Jammutavi to Tatanagar Junction).
