Indian Army pays tribute to Hav Warepam Govindchandra Singh

The Indian Army paid tribute to Hav Warepam Govindchandra Singh of the Army Medical Corps (AMC), who passed away in Lucknow on June 23 during an official visit. His mortal remains were received at Imphal Airport, Manipur, on June 26 and escorted to his native village, Phubala, Bishnupur District, with full dignity and military honours. Following the completion of all statutory formalities, including the postmortem, the mortal remains were transported from Lucknow to Imphal via Delhi before being handed over to the family.
Army officers laid a wreath on behalf of the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command and other military commanders, honouring the veteran’s dedicated service to the Nation. The Army also extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prays for eternal peace to the departed soul. The Army stands firmly with the family during this difficult time.
