Salman Khan backs Katrina Kaif amid trolling over postpartum weight gain

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has come out in support of Katrina Kaif after the actor was trolled on social media over her appearance and weight following the birth of her son.

During an episode of "Bigg Boss Season 20", Khan addressed trolls who had been commenting on his changing appearance. He took off his shirt and wiped off his makeup before speaking about the scrutiny faced by actors over their looks.

Without naming Kaif, Khan questioned the trolling of women for gaining weight after pregnancy and said actors can regain fitness when they are ready to return to films.

"Why do you troll somebody who gets pregnant? Pregnant hone ke baad everyone puts on weight... Jab woh picturon mein wapas aa jayegi toh woh fit aa jayengi," he said.

Khan also said women may choose to spend time with their families after childbirth instead of immediately returning to work.

Kaif welcomed her son Vihaan with husband and actor Vicky Kaushal in November 2025. She recently attended the Ambani family's Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai with Kaushal, after which videos of the actor surfaced on social media.

A section of social media users subsequently commented on her appearance, with some comparing recent pictures with her earlier photographs from films.

Kaif has not publicly commented on the trolling.
