IIT Alumni to host PAN IIT Global Leadership Summit 2026 in Delhi

Pan IIT Alumni India (PIAI), the executive committee representing alumni of all Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), has officially announced the dates for the Pan IIT Global Leadership Summit 2026 (Pan IIT GLS 2026). Slated to take place on June 20-21, 2026, the event is scheduled for the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. Envisioned as one of the world’s largest cross-sector leadership and venture platforms, the summit aims to convene global luminaries in technology, investment, governance and diplomacy. Its primary objective is to strategically chart the next phase of India’s global economic and innovation pre-eminence.
The two-day conference is expected to host a significant contingent of global delegates, including over 5,000 IIT alumni and global leaders. This formidable group will comprise 500 CXOs and MD-level delegates, 200 global investors and venture capitalists and more than 100 speakers and policymakers hailing from over 100 countries. The summit will be organised in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Vision 2047, according to the organisers. The unifying theme for the event is “Technology, Investments, Governance and Diplomacy,” a reflection of India’s increasingly crucial role in shaping global innovation ecosystems, capital flows and policy frameworks.
Providing context on the organisation’s groundwork, founding member of PIAI, Er Kamendra Kumar, an esteemed alumnus of IIT Roorkee, noted the successful organisation of the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ event in November 2025. He Stated that the committee plans to host similar events in Chennai, Agra and Bangalore across India ahead of the main Delhi summit. He further praised the current young leadership, Er Prabhat Kumar and Er Ashok Kumar, for being “very dynamic” and taking the organisation to “bigger heights.”
The extensive programme will feature global keynote addresses, high-impact panel discussions, leadership labs, policy roundtables, venture funding forums, investor and M and A lounges, start-up showcases and curated networking sessions designed to yield tangible outcomes for attendees and stakeholders. Key focus areas highlighted for deliberation include artificial intelligence, semiconductor design, fintech, climate technology and space engineering. The PAN IIT GLS 2026 will be chaired by Gourav Goel, an IIT Delhi alumnus, with Ashish Shandilya serving as the co-chair.
