‘If I don’t like it, we’ll go back to dropping bombs’: Trump warns Iran ahead of Friday deal signing

US President Donald Trump has signaled a tough stance on the proposed memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran, warning that military action could resume if Tehran fails to comply with the terms of the agreement.
Speaking on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France, Trump said the deal was “not final” and stressed that Washington would not hesitate to return to military measures if it was dissatisfied with Iran’s actions.
The MoU, which is expected to be formally signed in Switzerland on Friday, is aimed at ending hostilities and reopening the Strait of Hormuz while laying the groundwork for broader negotiations on Iran’s nuclear programme.
Trump said the agreement clearly states that Iran will not be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon and described it as a framework for further talks.
However, the proposed deal continues to face skepticism from some political leaders and analysts.
Trump reiterated that the agreement remains conditional, warning that if Iran violates its commitments, the US could “go back to dropping bombs.”
The remarks underscore the fragile nature of the emerging US-Iran understanding despite growing international support for the initiative.
