IAI announces 25th edition of GCA

The Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) on Thursday announced the 25th edition of the Global Conference of Actuaries (GCA), marking the Silver Jubilee of India’s most influential platform for risk, insurance and financial sustainability conversations.
The conference will be held in Mumbai from February 22-24, 2026, at Jio World Convention Centre.
Set against India’s ambition of becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047, this year’s theme, “Actuarial Pathways to Viksit Bharat: Managing Risks for Inclusive Social and Economic Growth”, positions actuaries at the heart of the country’s long-term and sustainable growth story.
From expanding insurance and pension coverage to managing climate-linked risks and strengthening financial resilience, the conference will focus on how data-driven risk thinking can support India’s next phase of development.
Speaking at the Press Conference, Preeti Chandrashekhar, President, Institute of Actuaries of India, said, “To achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, it is imperative to manage financial, demographic, climate and systemic risk in a holistic manner. The 25th edition of GCA is an opportunity to place actuarial thinking at the centre of conversations around inclusive growth and long-term resilience. As the profession marks this milestone year, we are focused on how actuaries can contribute meaningfully to India’s growth story.
IAI is the leading professional body for actuaries in India, established under the Actuaries Act, 2006.
With a mission to advance knowledge in actuarial science, IAI actively engages in research and advocacy, enhancing the role of actuaries in financial stability and risk management. The Institute aims to address contemporary challenges in the industry while fostering a strong community of actuarial professionals.
