Himanta launches Atmanirbhar Assam Abhiyan

In a significant stride towards bolstering self-reliance in the State, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday launched the distribution of the first instalment of financial assistance under the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Assam Abhiyan (CM-AAA) 2.0.
At a ceremonial programme held at the Jyoti-Bishnu Antarjatik Kala Mandir in Guwahati, the Chief Minister handed over the initial tranche to 5,572 young entrepreneurs hailing from Kamrup and Kamrup (Metropolitan) districts.
Under the ambitious CM-AAA 2.0 initiative, the State Government aims to support a total of 74,036 prospective entrepreneurs with a total financial outlay exceeding Rs 1,482 crore, structured to provide Rs 2 lakh each to eligible beneficiaries in the general category and Rs 5 lakh each to professionally trained candidates.
Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management Keshab Mahanta, Minister of Cooperation etc. Jogen Mohan, Minister of Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises, Bimal Bora, Member of Parliament, Bijuli Kalita Medhi, MLAs Atul Bora, Ramendra Narayan Kalita, Siddhartha Bhattacharyya, Bhabesh Kalita, Diganta Kalita, Suman Haripriya, Hemanga Thakuria, Mayor Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Mrigen Sarania.
Chief Secretary Dr Ravi Kota, Additional Chief Secretary JB Ekka, and several other dignitaries and senior officials were present on the occasion.
