GRAP-IV lifted

Strictest restrictions under GRAP-1V were revoked on Wednesday by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) following an improvement in the Air Quality Index (AQI). These curbs were imposed on December 13. However, restrictions under GRAP-3, 2 and 1 will remain in force, the CAQM said.

Announcing the decision, the Commission noted that the subcommittee of the Air Quality Management has witnessed an improvement in the air quality, and as a result, it decided to withdraw restrictions under GRAP-IV, which is considered the strictest anti-pollution measure.
