Pakistan Air Force Training Aircraft crashes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, both Pilots killed

A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) training aircraft crashed in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, killing both pilots on board, according to military officials and reports.
The aircraft went down during a routine training flight near Mardan in an open area, prompting an immediate response from rescue teams and security forces. The identities of the deceased pilots have not yet been officially released.
The Pakistan military confirmed the crash and said a board of inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of the incident. Officials have not ruled out technical failure, which is a common factor in previous training aircraft accidents in the region.
Senior political and military leadership expressed condolences over the loss of lives, calling it a tragic incident and extending support to the families of the deceased officers.
Training accidents involving Pakistan’s air force aircraft have been reported periodically in recent years, often linked to technical malfunctions or operational issues. Investigations are typically conducted by military boards, though detailed findings are not always made public.
This latest crash adds to a series of aviation incidents involving military aircraft in Pakistan, raising renewed concerns over safety protocols and maintenance standards within training operations.
