TV actress Sanchita Ugale dies by suicide in Palghar at 22

Television actress Sanchita Ugale, known for her roles in popular shows such as Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya, allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, police said on Monday.
The 22-year-old actor was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her home in the Nallasopara area around 7 pm on Sunday, when she was alone, according to officials.
Police said a team immediately reached the spot after receiving information and found no suspicious circumstances. No suicide note was recovered from the scene.
Officials added that the actor’s father has stated he does not suspect any foul play or hold anyone responsible for her death.
The body has been sent to a government hospital for post-mortem examination, and a case of accidental death has been registered while further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances.
Sanchita Ugale was known for playing the character Diya Tandon in Kumkum Bhagya, which brought her recognition in the television industry. She had also appeared in Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kisse and played a lead role in Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi.
She also featured in films, including portraying a younger version of Tara Rani in Chhaava and appearing in the thriller Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout.
