Dr Akhilesh Das Gupta Law School to host 1st All India Moot Court Competition

The Dr Akhilesh das Gupta Institute of Professional Studies (Dr Akhilesh Das Gupta Law School) is set to organise its 1st All India Moot Court Competition on April 28–29.
The event is being conducted under the able guidance of Alka Das, Chairperson of the BBD Group, and Viraj Sagar Das, President.
The inaugural ceremony will be graced by Justice (Retd) M Karpaga Vinayagam, former Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court, as the Chief Guest.
The valedictory ceremony will be honoured by the presence of Dr T R Naval, Additional District & Sessions Judge (Retd), as the Chief Guest.
The theme for this year’s competition is “Deepfake Technology and Cyber Crime,” a highly relevant and pressing issue in today’s digital age.
This prestigious national-level competition aims to provide law students with practical exposure to real courtroom procedures.
Participants will present legal arguments before experienced judges and legal experts, thereby enhancing their advocacy, legal research, and analytical skills.
On this occasion, Dr Vijay Dheer (Director, Coordination), Dr Niranjan Bhattacharyya (Director), Pankhuri Aggarwal (Assistant Director, HR), and Professor (Dr) Jogi Ram Sharma (Principal, ADGLS) jointly stated that the competition is being organized on a grand scale, with participation from 40 teams representing reputed law universities and colleges across the India, comprising approximately 120 participants. Each team will consist of two speakers and one researcher.
