CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 declared girls outperform boys

The Central Board of Secondary Education on Wednesday declared the Class 12 board examination results for 2026, with girls outperforming boys by 6.73 percentage points.
Students who appeared for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination can now access their results through the official websites, DigiLocker and the UMANG app.
According to CBSE data, girls once again recorded a higher pass percentage than boys, continuing the trend seen over the past several years.
Candidates can check their scorecards on the official portals using their roll number, school number, admit card ID and date of birth. The online marksheet includes subject wise marks, grades and qualifying status.
CBSE has also clarified the minimum passing criteria for the examination. Students are required to secure at least 33 per cent marks separately in theory and practical components for each subject.
The board follows a nine point grading system ranging from A1 to E2. Students scoring between 91 and 100 marks receive an A1 grade, while marks below 33 are categorised under E1 or E2 grades.
CBSE may also award grace marks in borderline cases under its internal policy if students narrowly miss the passing criteria.
The board has made digital academic documents including marksheets and certificates available through DigiLocker under its “Parinam Manjusha” repository.
Students can also apply for verification of marks, photocopies of evaluated answer sheets and re evaluation after the declaration of results. CBSE is expected to announce the schedule for supplementary examinations soon.
The Class 12 examinations for 2026 were conducted between February and April across India and in affiliated schools abroad.
