BJP MPs meet L-G, assure to work together for a Viksit Delhi

BJP MPs from Delhi on Thursday called on the newly appointed Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu at Lok Niwas, and discussed issues related to the development of the national Capital.
Sandhu was sworn in as the 23rd L-G of Delhi in a ceremony on Wednesday. MPs Manoj Tiwari, Ramvir Bidhuri, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Yogender Chandolia, Praveen Khandelwal and Bansuri Swaraj met Sandhu. The former diplomat said in a post on X that he had a constructive discussion with the MPs regarding the development of the national capital. South Delhi MP Bidhuri said the parliamentarians from Delhi congratulated the new L-G and expressed confidence that his “administrative experience will be a great help in making it a world-class city”.
During the meeting, the BJP MPs also shared Delhi’s issues with him, Bidhuri said. The South Delhi MP said he stressed that Delhi’s Master Plan should be notified soon, and the Land Pooling Policy and GDA Policy also need to be implemented soon.
MP Tiwari also asserted that Sandhu’s experience will help in realising the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and a strong Delhi, and assured that all the public representatives will work together to achieve the goal. Chandni Chowk MP Praveen Khandelwal said that the parliamentarians assured the L-G that all the public representatives will work together to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ as well as developing Delhi into a modern managed city.
