BJP blames opposition for panic over LPG shortage reports

Refuting claims of LPG cylinder shortages, the BJP said the Congress and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) are trying to create “inconvenience” for consumers, adding that such reports were emerging only from States ruled by these parties.
BJP IT department head Amit Malviya said Karnataka was the first state from where reports of LPG shortages surfaced, followed by West Bengal, while alleging that Samajwadi Party leaders in Uttar Pradesh were found hoarding LPG cylinders.
“Karnataka was incidentally the first state from where reports of LPG shortages began to surface. Soon after, similar news emerged from West Bengal. Media reports now suggest that Samajwadi Party leaders in Uttar Pradesh are hoarding gas cylinders,” Malviya said in a post on X.
BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari also criticised the Congress, the TMC and the Samajwadi Party, alleging they were “working against India’s interest”.
