HM Amit Shah reaffirms government’s resolve to identify and deport illegal immigrants

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Sunday reiterated the Centre’s strong commitment to identify and deport illegal immigrants from the country.
Addressing a public rally after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 340 crore in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, Shah said the government remains determined to secure the nation’s borders and eliminate illegal immigration.
The Home Minister stressed that strict action would continue against illegal infiltration and asserted that national security remains a top priority for the government.
During his speech, Shah also congratulated the West Bengal government for quickly allotting 600 hectares of land to the Border Security Force (BSF) within a week, calling it an important step for strengthening border infrastructure.
Paying tribute on Veer Savarkar’s birth anniversary, Shah highlighted Savarkar’s contribution to the nation and remembered his sacrifices and dedication towards the country.
As part of his three-day Gujarat visit, the Union Minister inaugurated several public welfare projects developed under corporate social responsibility initiatives. These included the redevelopment of Jedva village lake, new libraries, and newly constructed primary school buildings.
Later in the day, Shah is scheduled to inaugurate a hostel building at the Mata Umiya Dham complex in Sola and unveil the ‘Bharat Mata Square’ at Bhimjipura in Ahmedabad.
The Home Minister will also chair a high-level review meeting at Shahibaug Circuit House to assess infrastructure preparedness for upcoming international sporting events, including the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, and World Police and Fire Games.
