Adani, Gujarat Govt partner to transform 11 ITIs in Kutch

In a major boost to technical education and regional employment, Adani Skills & Education (ASE) has formalised two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Government of Gujarat to transform 11 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the Kutch region.
The partnership, formalised during ASE’s ‘Karma Utsav’ event at the GAIMS Auditorium in Bhuj, aims to establish industry-linked skilling and employment-focused training ecosystems. As Kutch rapidly positions itself as a primary hub for renewable energy, logistics, and industrial infrastructure, the initiative is designed to equip local youth with specialised skill sets, thereby reducing talent migration and ensuring the region’s economic growth is powered by local talent.
The event was attended by Gujarat’s Cabinet Minister for Labour, Skill Development & Employment, Kunwarjibhai Bavaliya, alongside Minister of State Kantilal Amrutiya, senior district officials, and top leadership from the Adani Group.
Addressing the gathering of over 650 students, educators, and policymakers, Minister Bavaliya stressed the critical role of industry-aligned training. “Our key objective is to provide global-level technical training to the youth and ensure every young person becomes self-reliant under the Skill India mission. Skilled youth are the foundation of a prosperous nation,” he stated. Minister of State Amrutiya also urged students to leverage these upgraded technical pathways to contribute directly to national progress.
The collaboration will focus heavily on curriculum enhancement, infrastructure modernisation, faculty development, and robust placement support. Through its 'Skill2Employ' methodology, ASE intends to integrate classroom learning with simulated training and Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to deliver a “first-day, first-hour” productive workforce.
During the programme, ASE distributed 'Skill2Employ' Letters of Invitation to graduating students, awarded Certificates of Excellence to 22 exceptional performers, and felicitation certificates to 30 instructors who completed ASE’s Train-the-Trainer (TTT) module.
Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Robin Bhowmik, CEO of Adani Skills & Education, noted, “Kutch is our karma bhoomi, and we remain deeply invested in its future. Through our partnership with the Government of Gujarat and ITIs across the region, we aim to build a continuously skilled, industry-ready workforce capable of supporting long-term regional transformation.”
Notably, the 10-point agenda envisioned by ASE for this ITI overhaul is already gaining traction beyond State lines, being referred to as a benchmark “Gujarat Model” for technical education revamp across other Indian States.
