8th Indian Oil Flower Show begins in Noida

Arvind Kumar, Director (Refineries) with Additional Charge of Director (Pipelines), Indian Oil inaugurated the 8th Flower Show at Indian Oil Nagar, Site-I, Noida on February 14, 2026. The two-day event showcased over 15,000 flowerpots featuring nearly 60 varieties of flowers, plants and shrubs, including new additions such as peony, hyacinth, hybrid hibiscus, lupin, obconica and cockscomb. Flower Shows are traditionally organised across all IndianOil refineries during this season every year, reflecting the Corporation’s continued commitment towards sustainability, green living, and nurturing local flora and fauna.
In his address, Arvind Kumar appreciated the efforts of participants and noted that the vibrant floral displays reflected their strong bond with nature. He shared that spending time amidst greenery brings peace, reduces stress and infuses positivity which is an essential need in today’s busy professional lives. He also highlighted that the enthusiastic participation of families, especially children, strengthens township bonds and inspires confidence that the future of the environment is in sensitive hands.
Competitions were conducted under 21 categories with more than 150 exhibits, including potted plants, balcony gardens, cut flower arrangements, buttonholes, “Best from Waste” (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Children’s drawing competition was also held. The Chief Guest Arvind Kumar presented prizes across categories including the “Best Show” and “Queen of the Show” titles.The event also featured cultural programmes, where children performed beautifully on flower-inspired themes.
