On the lines of the prestigious Word Power Championship, the state level FLN Championship was organized for the first time in the state today. The competition was inaugurated by School Education and Literacy Minister Ramdas Soren, who praised the organization of FLN Championship and called it an excellent initiative for basic literacy and numeracy. Soren said that it is a matter of pride that an event like FLN Championship is being organized for the first time in Jharkhand.
Giving the example of his life, he explained in detail the development of FLN skills in students and its challenges. The Minister said that victory or defeat cannot stop a talent from growing, it motivates us to keep trying and achieve success. He appreciated the departmental efforts and the efforts of all the stakeholders concerned for making continuous efforts for the FLN Championship.
Addressing the program, Departmental Secretary Umashankar Singh said that the FLN Championship is being organized for the first time in the state, which is an excellent effort to take forward basic literacy and numeracy from the departmental level. Singh said that for the last three years, Word Power Championship is being organized on English subject for the students of class 2 to 5, and in this our children had made the whole state proud by securing first place at the national level last year.
Due to the special efforts of teachers, students and motivators, this time FLN Championship is being organized, in which along with English, Hindi and Mathematics have also been included, so that the students can participate in the competition according to their interest and can increase the pride of the state by becoming the winner.
Singh said that in this competition, about 8 lakh children have been evaluated through 72,000 teachers of the state and they have been prepared for this competition for the last 6 months. 272 children from the state have reached the semi-finals by succeeding in the competitions held at various levels - school, cluster, block and district level and today 72 children are participating in the final competition in the state level final. He congratulated and wished all the winning students.
Addressing the program, Jharkhand Education Project Director Shashi Ranjan said that one should not be disappointed by failure, failure is the foundation of future success. The selected children will be proud of themselves that you were one of the 272 selected from 8 lakh students. This is an achievement in itself.
Ranjan said that instead of focusing on the end result, students should enjoy the process, learn from this experience, and make it a part of their personal and educational journey. Remember, success is not just about achieving a goal, but also about the path you choose. Every step, every challenge and every moment makes you stronger and more knowledgeable.
