Chief Minister Mohan Yadav highlighted the importance of sports in fostering positivity and energy in life, emphasizing India’s rich cultural tradition in sports. He noted that under the new education policy provisions have been established to obtain degrees besed on sports and enables sports teachers to advance till the positions like assistant professors and vice-chancellors. He affirmed that sports are a powerful way to showcase an individual's efficiency, ability, and competence and reiterated the state government's commitment to promoting sports at all levels.
Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for creating a system that nurtures talent and promotes all sports across the country. Its results are also visible in national and international competitions. He also announced plans to work towards developing a better cricket stadium in Bhopal.
Yadav was addressing the inaugural function of the 30th Inter Press Cricket Tournament-2025, organized by the Sports Journalists Association of Bhopal, at the Old Campion Ground. He marked the opening by batting and expressed his best wishes for the tournament’s success.
