In a landmark initiative to promote environmental sustainability and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the Prestige Institute of Engineering, Management, and Research (PIEMR) has partnered with the Indore Climate Mission. This collaboration aims to position Indore as a global leader in climate sensitivity and green practices.

Davish Jain, Chairman of the Prestige Education Foundation, announced the partnership, calling it a "milestone in Indore's journey towards a greener future." He added, "This mission reflects our commitment to creating a sustainable and eco-friendly environment. Together, we will set an example of how collective efforts can drive impactful change for the environment."

The Indore Climate Mission, a joint initiative by the Indore Municipal Corporation and the Energy Swaraj Foundation, seeks to significantly reduce the city's greenhouse gas emissions over the next 100 days. One key target is to achieve a 20% reduction in electricity consumption between January and March 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.

Highlighting the mission's objectives, Professor Chetan Solanki, renowned as "India's Solar Man," said, "This initiative is a testament to Indore’s commitment to fighting climate change. We aim to inspire other cities to follow in our footsteps through integrated and innovative efforts."

The agreement was formalized by senior representatives from Prestige Institutes, including Dr. Manoj Kumar Deshpande (Senior Director) and Dr. Deepali Sarvate. Mr. Himanshu Jain, PIMR Group Director Dr. Sher Singh Bhaker, Colonel Raman Iyer, and Dr. Rajeev Raghuvanshi were also attending.

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava honored the collaboration by presenting certificates of participation to Prestige Institutes, acknowledging their significant role in the mission.

This partnership between Prestige Education Group and the Indore Climate Mission is expected to create a positive environmental impact, setting the stage for Indore to emerge as a beacon of sustainability and innovation on the global map.
