For the first time since its inception in 2009, Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University (NDVSU) will administer an oath to the graduating class of the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) courses.
The oath-taking will take place at a glittering ceremony scheduled for January 17, which will mark the entry of 212 graduates into the honourable professions.
The ceremony will be conducted at the Auditorium of the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in Jabalpur, which will host students from all three colleges affiliated with NDVSU.
The graduating class includes 74 students each from Jabalpur and Mhow, and 64 students from Rewa, who will solemnly take the Veterinarian's Oath.
This significant step symbolises their dedication to animal welfare, public health, and ethical veterinary practices.
State Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Lakhan Patel, will be the chief guest at the ceremony, which will be attended by luminaries and academicians from the veterinary field.
Ashok Rohani, MLA (Jabalpur Cantt), and Dr Umesh Chandra Sharma, President of the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), will be present as special guests.
The programme has been organised under the guidance and leadership of Dr Mandeep Sharma, Vice Chancellor of NDVSU, who is also the patron of this pioneering event.
His dedication and vision have played a pivotal role in conceptualising and implementing this momentous initiative.
The families of the students, faculty members, and other invitees will witness this landmark event, celebrating the achievements of the students and their entry into the veterinary profession.
