BJP State President and Leader of Opposition targeted the state government over the rising unemployment in the state. Marandi said that the unemployment situation in Jharkhand is getting serious day by day. According to the latest data of the Labor Department, three lakh 44 thousand 823 people are looking for jobs in the state, including two lakh 45 thousand 420 men and 99,382 women. These figures show the seriousness of the employment crisis in the state, but no concrete and effective steps are being taken by the government to overcome it.
He said that unemployed youth are forced to migrate out of the state or are forced to adopt temporary and low-paying jobs in despair. The number of educated unemployed in the state is increasing rapidly. Lakhs of youth are getting higher education, but there is a lack of suitable jobs for them too. Government recruitments are either postponed or get embroiled in controversies due to lack of transparency. Due to increasing crime and limited number of industries in the private sector, very few employment opportunities are being created.
He said that employment offices are limited to just registering the unemployed and their role in getting jobs has become almost zero. The government's indifference towards unemployment is clearly visible. Hemant Soren ji, make efforts to create employment and provide jobs with complete transparency and honesty, so that our youth can lead a respectable life along with contributing to the development of Jharkhand.
