GP Anurag Gupta today chaired a meeting convened through video conferencing on the works being done under ERSS, Dial 112. In the meeting, Suman Gupta, ADG, Training & Training, Indrajit Mahtha, DIG, Jharkhand Jaguar (STF) -cum-Nodal Officer, Central Desk Dial-112, Amit Renu, SP, Campaign, Harvinder Singh, SP, Communication & Technical Services, Shriram Samad, ASP, CCR, Amardeep Kumar and Rakesh Kumar Yadav, Facility Manager of CDAC Ranchi participated physically and Kalesh Joint Director CDAC and Basil Josh Project Engineer CDAC participated through video conferencing.
During the meeting, the objectives of ERSS (Emergency Response Support System) and the services of Dial-112 were reviewed in detail. In this, special emphasis was laid on providing quick help to women / children / elderly in emergency situations as well as making ambulance / fire brigade services more effective. In view of Dial-112, the following instructions were given to provide quick help in emergency situations:
Ensure prompt action on receiving information on Dial-112 such as crime, fire, accident, women harassment, domestic violence, child crime, medical emergency.
Nodal officer (Deputy Superintendent of Police level officer) in each district will regularly review Dial-112 and ensure desired action to connect emergency services with Dial-112.
Desired action should be taken at public places such as auto rickshaw / city bus / women's college / bank / hospital / ATM / coaching center / school etc. for wide publicity of Dial-112 among the general public.
All the district nodal officers like Deputy Superintendent of Police will ensure to take feedback regarding the action taken in Dial-112.
The officers of CDAC will try to improve the utility of ERSS (Emergency Response Support System) and Dial-112 technically.
