SAIL's Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s HSCC India Limited, a Government of India enterprise, to establish a 150-bed Super Speciality Hospital at Bokaro General Hospital (BGH). The agreement, signed on 13th January 2025 in the presence of BSL's Director Incharge Birendra Kumar Tiwari, aims to enhance healthcare services for the plant’s workforce and the wider Bokaro community.
The state-of-the-art facility will provide advanced medical care in Cardiology, Neurology, Oncology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Critical Care, and other disciplines. The first phase of the project involves preparing a Draft Project Report, Concept Plan, and identifying Operation & Maintenance (O&M) partners. Based on its completion, the second phase will include design, construction, and handover to the O&M partner.
