The Gurugram traffic police will soon be equipped with body-worn video cameras to catch traffic violators on vital roads of Gurugram like MG Road and Golf Course Road.
The cameras are expected to enhance road safety for both the traffic police and the residents of Gurugram.
“All traffic inspectors and zonal officers were given instructions to use body-worn cameras while challaning and were also instructed not to argue with any driver while challaning and to do their work with pleasant behaviour,” Virender Vij, DCP (traffic), said.
While challaning, the activities of the driver and the intersection will also be recorded with the use of these body-worn cameras.
All these recordings will be kept safely so that in future if required, these body-worn camera recordings can be used for any evidence,” he said.
