A group of miscreants brutally attacked a youth in the Rajdhani Club at Sailashree Vihar under the Chandrasekharpur police station in Bhubaneswar on Monday night.
The injured youth, identified as Sangram Singh, was rushed to the Capital Hospital with critical injuries. On Tuesday, the club members visited the police station and demanded immediate arrest of all miscreants involved in the attack.
The group of weapon-wielding masked miscreants entered the club and started attacking Singh before fleeing from the spot. Later, a profusely bleeding Singh was rescued and shifted to hospital. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the club.
Following the incident, a complaint was registered with the Chandrasekharpur police station following which a probe was initiated.
‘We could identify one of the of miscreants a as he didn’t cover his face. He has criminal antecedents. We are yet to understand why he did so because we don’t have any enmity with him. I think they did this under the influence of drugs,” the club secretary alleged.
