During his visit to Gorakhpur on Sunday morning, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met around 150 citizens and addressed their concerns during the Janata Darshan held at the Gorakhnath Temple.
He reiterated his commitment to providing housing for the underprivileged through government schemes and offering full financial support for the treatment of individuals with severe illnesses.
The chief minister emphasised the government’s dedication to delivering the benefits of welfare schemes to every eligible individual and resolving issues effectively.
He directed officials to respond promptly and sensitively to public grievances.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached out to individuals seated outside the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan, listened to their concerns, collected their applications, and instructed the relevant administrative and police officers to ensure fair, timely, and satisfactory resolutions.
Some women raised the issue of not having pucca houses, to which the chief minister assured them of assistance through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing every individual with a durable house.
As in previous Janata Darshan sessions, several attendees sought financial help for medical treatment. The chief minister assured them that no one’s treatment would be hindered for lack of funds.
He instructed officials to promptly prepare estimates for high-level treatments and submit them for immediate government approval and funding.
The chief minister also emphasised the effective use of Ayushman Bharat cards, instructing officials to ensure that beneficiaries face no difficulties during treatment.
Additionally, he directed them to facilitate Ayushman card issuance for eligible individuals who have been left out. When a woman from Kushinagar sought support for the treatment of a serious illness, the chief minister assured her that even if costs exceeded Ayushman coverage, the government would provide financial assistance to ensure her treatment proceeded without interruption.
Addressing crime and land-grabbing complaints, CM Yogi instructed the police to take stringent action against criminals and land mafia.
He emphasised that anyone—a strongman or mafia—illegally occupying another’s land must face strict consequences.
He stated that no leniency should be shown towards those who displace or exploit the poor.
During the Janata Darshan, the chief minister also interacted with children accompanying their families. He blessed them, encouraged them to focus on their studies, and presented them with chocolates.
